FACE | Sephora Haul

I don’t really like haul posts, but I realised I haven’t posted since last week and this is one of the only photos I have online that I can write about from work, so here’s a quick look at what I purchased in my latest Sephora order.

I’ve been trying really hard not to spend too much money on beauty products lately, for a number of reasons ranging from the sensible “spend less money on things you don’t need” to the optimistic “saving for something exciting next year”. In true Morgan style this fell to bits when I was having a particularly bad day and needed a pick-me-up in the form of online shopping.

Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade in Medium Brown, $18 USD
I recently hit pan (glass?) on my Dip Brow in Chocolate, and was struck with anxiety about what I’d do when I ran out. I was also curious to try Medium Brown over Chocolate, as it’s a newer shade that wasn’t available when I first purchased this. I love this. It is glorious. More soon.

DIOR Diorskin Nude BB Creme, $45 USD
This was a splurge, obviously. I’ve been fawning over this for months and making detours past every Dior counter I see just to double-check that I like it as much as I think I do. I’m in the shade Fair 002 and it’s a really good match. It’s got impressive coverage for a BB cream, wears nicely on my oily skin (even without powdering) and has SPF 10. How could I not?

First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads, $14 USD for 28
I’ve talked about these already so there’s not too much to say, except to remind you how fantastic AHAs are and you should put them all over your face all the time.

Make Up For Ever Artist Shadow in M 408 Mustard (matte), $21 USD
Yes, I realise that $28 USD is a lot of money for one eyeshadow. Yes, I realise I could have saved money by buying more than one. But do you realise how important it was to me that I find the perfect matte mustard eyeshadow shade after watching this video of Sharon? Do you realise how hard it is to find a matte mustard eyeshadow? Do you?

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel, $14.50 USD
I’ve been loving the La Roche-Posay Toleriane Fluide as my morning moisturiser, but it will inevitably run out and I will be sad so I figured I might as well try this thing. I used it when I was seventeen and I don’t remember having any problems with it, so why not?

Bonus: a mini sample of the new Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide foundation. I haven’t put it all over my face yet but it swatches similarly to the new Bare Minerals liquid foundation, which I didn’t love. Fingers crossed Laura’s offering is better because I have a predisposition to like Laura Mercier products, for some reason.

What have you bought recently? Tried any of these products?

I want to see the mustard on lid please and thankyou

    • It’s coming! I lahhhve it. I tried to find the one we saw at Bobbi Brown but couldn’t see anything similar on Sephora and I can’t remember the colour name :/

It’s called Camel I think if I looked at the same matte mustard BB eyeshadow and went “oooh.”

        • Ooh that’s the one! On the Sephora site the colour example doesn’t look very mustardy, which I think is what put me off.

  • Good idea, I’ll do a post on it!

So were you able to make orders again with Youshop?

    • Yes! It works with my visa debit card 🙂
