I never write about sales and wishlists anymore because I don’t want to encourage rampant consumerism but the New Zealand Sephora site has 15% off everything at the moment so I figured I’d point you to some bargains. Sephora.nz is not quite as generous as the OG Sephora.com when it comes to discounts and freebies, so having 15% off is nothing to turn up your nose at. 15% is the highest we’d ever have on prestige cosmetics at Farmers when I worked there, so it’s probably the best you can do.
So that being said, here’s what I’d pick up if I were you (and if I were myself, for some of these!)
Becca Champagne Pop Shimmering Skin Perfector, $60
You know you want it. Everyone on the internet has this highlighter and it’s a darn good one. I mean, if you’ve already got a golden pressed highlighter then you don’t need it, but 15% off might be just the push you need. Right?
Bite Beauty BB Primer for Lips, $34
I got this when I made my first ever Sephora.nz haul and I really, really like it. I really, really like everything Bite makes, but this one has particular utility because it’s a lip balm and has no pigment and it smells really nice and makes your lips taste a little bit delicious in the morning.
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita and Lolita II, $40 each
I know these are another super-hyped thing on the internet but the formula is very comfortable to wear. It lasts a good long time, including through meals, which is handy because I feel like a bit of a dick reapplying lipstick at work when all I’m going to do is sit in front of my computer and see the same six people all day.
Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara, $40
This is a Marc Jacobs product and it’s only forty dollars. Forty dollars! Before the discount! You’d be close to paying that for a L’Oreal one (in fact, I refused to buy myself the L’Oreal Telescopic mascara because it was $30-something the other day). I’ve bought myself one already.
Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge x2, $29
You’re going to need another one at some point, so you might as well buy two at once. They’re $36 for a two pack at Farmers, and those aren’t discounted at the moment. Buy them here instead, it just makes sense!
Not pictured, but Original & Mineral is now stocked at Sephora too. This is the haircare range my stylist Matt uses, and I trust his judgement 100%, and if I could afford to buy shampoo this fancy as regularly as I need to buy shampoo, it would be all I use. Sephora has lots of tiny sized bottles too, which might be a good way to try the product out without committing to a full size.
The sale lasts until May 8.
Are you going to buy anything in the sale? Let me know in the comments!
