OFYAOFM | LA’BONIC body care

labonic shower

My second OFYAOFM giveaway is thanks to LA’BONIC, a natural New Zealand skincare company. They’ve just come out with a body care line including body wash and lotion. It’s pretty safe to say that everyone washes their body, so this giveaway should be useful to everyone! I’ve actually got three sets to give away, in three flavours scents: Serenity, Vigour, and Glacier.

There’s only so much you can say when reviewing a body wash, because there’s really only one important factor: that it washes your body. These ones certainly do the job! I’ve been vibing on the Serenity wash when I take a shower at night, as it is lavender and vanilla scented. I’m one of those people who doesn’t really know when or how to switch off, and I’ll often be writing blog posts sitting in bed at 11pm. A bit of a boost in the form of relaxing fragrance is really helpful.

The body wash has quite a runny texture, which takes a bit of adjusting to if you’re used to thicker commercial shower gels. I’m going to attribute that to the fact LA’BONIC are a natural and organic company who don’t use the same ingredients as bigger brands (this is a vague sentence because I don’t know much about the chemical makeup of body wash and I don’t feel like doing a bunch of scientific reading right now). While free of SLS (the thing that makes most body washes froth up) it still makes a good lather and gets you clean.

To go with the body wash I also have one each of the Glacier, Vigour and Serenity body lotions to give away. I haven’t had a chance to try these yet so if you’re the winner, you’ll have to report back. They’re decent sized bottles and body lotion is one thing you can never have too much of.

You need to like Hyacinth Girl on Facebook to enter, and leave a comment on the LA’BONIC photo letting me know which scent you’d like to win. There will be three winners, each getting a body wash and matching lotion. Sweet!
