What even is a coffret? It’s a small box or container, apparently, so, a fancy name for a gift set.
NARS lip pencils are one of my favourite lip formulas – I don’t have any of the weird patchy problems I get with MAC lipsticks, they go on smoothly and the staying power is decent. I already have three velvet matte lip pencils (Pop Life, a low key tomato red; Train Bleu, a dark blue-based purple; and Tender Night, an iridescent lilac) but with the addition of this ~coffret~ my collection has more than doubled.
I ordered the NARS Guy Bourdin Promiscuous lip pencil coffret way back in November, when it first came out, from Sephora via Price USA. After a very long wait, due to the fact Price USA sent my order from the States to New Zealand via Australia, it arrived on Christmas Eve.
The set contains Cruella, Never Say Never, Sex Machine and Dolce Vita in the velvet matte formula, and New Lover in the velvet gloss formula. These are minis, but they’re a decent size and I have such a big lip product collection there’s no risk of me wearing the same one every day and smashing through it quickly. In fact, I don’t think I’ve actually ever used a lip product up?
Here’s me wearing Dolce Vita, which, like Pop Life, is a natural red that I can see myself getting a lot of use out of. This photo is from a hair tutorial I did over on nzgirl, and the eyeshadow is a look I’ll post soon here on Hyacinth Girl.
